Virginia Abernathy

Virginia Abernathy, age 90 of La Center died Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Life Care Center in La Center.  She was born the daughter of the late Robert Brand and the late Viola Brand.  She was a housewife caring for her home and children, and was of the Pentecostal faith.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Abernathy family.

She is survived by her daughter: Brenda Wallace (Charles) of LaCenter; her sister: Diane Keeling of Florida; her three grandchildren: Tracey Citarella of La Center, Gary Fondaw (Martine) of Georgia, and Kim Novosel (Roy) of Washington; and her ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Floyd Abernathy; her son: Rick Abernathy; her daughter: Patsy Egner; her brothers: George Brand, Ronald Brand, and Larry Brand; and her sisters: Edna Hargate, Betty Abernathy, and Peggy Brand.
