Thomas H. Overton

Tom Overton, age 74 of Metropolis died Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah.  He was born the son of the late Charles H. Overton, and the late Ollie  Daniels Overton.  He was a mechanic, and enjoyed fishing when he had the chance.

There are no services scheduled.  A private burial will take place at a later date.  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his son: Mike Overton (Terry) of Metropolis, IL; his daughters: Tina Ross (Tony) of DuQuoin, IL, and Christina Hand (Jimmy) of Bumcome, IL; his step-son: Dennis Ray Melvin, Jr.; his brother: Fred E. Overton (Virginia) of Elkville, IL; his sister: Katie F. Overton of St. Louis, MO; his six grandchildren; and his four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Charles H. Overton, Jr., and Dick Joe Daniels.
