Sylvia Louise Dismore

Sylvia Louise Dismore, 95, a beloved member of the Grand Rivers community, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah. She was born on October 25, 1929, in Livingston County, KY, the daughter of the late Albert and Marybell Langdon.

Sylvia was known for her vibrant personality and her love for dancing. She cherished the joy of attending Saturday night dances in Grand Rivers.

She is survived by her two sons, Larry James Dismore of Grand Rivers, KY, and Dwight Dismore (Loraine) of Ledbetter, KY; her brother, Walter Langdon; her sister, Shirley Brown; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by four sons, Steve, David, Marty, and Robert Dismore; and several brothers and sisters. 

A graveside service to celebrate Sylvia's life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Iuka Cemetery in Grand Rivers, KY, at 10:00 AM.
