Stephen Edward Mathis

Stephen E. Mathis, age 78 of Paducah died Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at his residence.  He was born the son of the late James Mathis and the late Dottie Jones Mathis.  He was retired from Air Products where he worked in maintenance.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a coin and jewelry collector and was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah with Bro. Roger Whetstone officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.  Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his son: Richard Mathis (Mary) of Liberty, Tennessee; his daughters: Karen Parks of Paducah, and Stephanie Saxon (Justin) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sister: Phyllis Purcell (Dub) of LaCenter; his five grandchildren: James Mathis, Emily Parks, William Mathis, Collin Saxon, and Kaylee Saxson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Linda Roberts Mathis; and his brother: Danny Mathis.
