N. Leona Alexander

N. Leona Alexander, 88, of Kevil passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Life Care Center in LaCenter, KY. She was born the daughter of the late Hansel and Allie Dowdy.  Leona was of the Pentecostal Faith and a member of Paducah Holiness Church. She loved flowers and gardening and was very active in her church. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Keeling and Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah with Bro. T.L. Futral officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Mayfield, KY.  Visitation will be Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.  Keeling and Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Leona is survived by her son, James Alexander (Cara) of Kevil; two daughters, Marilyn Sollenberger (Tim) of Kevil, and Betty McKinney (Eddie) of Paducah; one brother, Edward Dowdy of Wingo; one sister, Jeanette Bryan of Paducah; three grandchildren,  Alan Sanson, Audrey Sparks, and Patsy Robinson; and six great-grandchildren.

In addtion to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: William David Alexander and Dwayne Edward Alexander; one brother: Chester Dowdy; two sisters,  Almeta Bryan and Francis Parham; and one grandchild, Kimberly Royalty.
