Melvyn R Detie

Melvyn R. Detie, 86 of Paducah passed away Wednesday evening (May 25, 2016) at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation in Metropolis, IL.

He was member of Southland Baptist Temple, the VFW and American Legion. He is survived by one daughter, Shelia Rene Grim of Paducah, two grandchildren, Alisha Michelle Swinford and Storm Sutton Ball, both of Paducah. Three great grand children and Two great great grand children. Mr. Detie was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, and two brothers.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday June 1, Keeling Family Funeral Home. With the Rev. Paul Hatcher officiating. Burial will be in Woolawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 12 noon Wednesday until funeral hour.
