Mary Potter

Mary S. Potter age 82 of Paducah died Saturday, November 4, 2017 at her residence.  She was born the daughter of the late Robert Lee Shields and the late Martha Evelyn Wilhelm Shields.  She had been a bookkeeper, a devoted caretaker to her grandchildren, and was of the Baptist Faith.

Memorial Services will be held at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah at 6:30 p.m., Monday, November 6, 2017 with Bro. Billie Prince, Jr. officiating.  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her sons: Michael Potter of Barlow, KY, Robert Potter (Julie) of Melbourne Beach, FL, Timothy Potter of Paducah, KY, and  Dwight Potter (Darla) of Wickliffe, KY; her daughters: Debra Potter Wright (Billy) of Paducah, KY, and Robbin Dooley (Dean) of New Jersey; her sisters: Phyllis Shields Vess of Clifton Forge, VA, Patty VanBuren (Tommy) of Manassas, VA, Dreama Shields Willett of Grafton, VA, and Robbie Shields Stowe of Suffolk, VA; her eleven grandchildren, and her 24 great grandchildren; 

In addition her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband  Gordon Ranson Potter, Jr., and her sister: Nancy Shields Johnson (Eddie) of Laurel, MD.
