Lorene Smith

Lorene P. Smith, age 83 of Paducah died Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab.  She was born the daughter of the late Joe Putman and the late Dessie Watkins Bollen.  She worked for many years in child care.  She attended Lone Oak First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah with Rev. Topper Council and Rev. Bob Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in Utley Cemetery in Hardin, Kentucky.  Visitation will be Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

She is survived by her sons: Ron Steakley of Lone Oak, and Larry Smith (Kim) of Melber, Kentucky; her daughters: Peggy Hays of Lone Oak, Kathy Garner (Barry) of Paducah, and Lisa Skillern (Jeff) of Madison, Alabama; her eight grandchildren: Melissa Ledgerwood, Hilary Hays, Whitnee Walker, Kaitlyn Smith, Olivia Skillern, Sarah Skillern, Kyler Garner, and Gabrielle Skillern; and five great grandchildren: Jaycee Walker, Liam Rottgering, Bryson Ledgerwood, Kaygon Ledgerwood, and Kolson Ledgerwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren: Ben Stakley, Heather Smith, and Haley Smith.
