Judith Holt

HOLT, Judith Faye, widow of Donald Lee Holt, died on February 5, 2018 in Lexington, KY.  She was born on July 15, 1940 in Wheatcroft, KY, and was the daughter of the late Douglas Rice Herron and the late Eileen Stewart of Paducah, KY.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons Vonnie Dale Holt and Donald Cecil Holt (Jesa Lynn Sutton).  She is survived by her sons Douglas Lee Holt of Lexington (former daughter-in-law Mindy Layne Howard) of Mt. Sterling, and Darren Embry Holt (Kerry Vance Osting) of Georgetown, her grandsons Wesley Robert Holt and Charles Vance Holt, her sister Janet Ann Herron (Woodrow Lee Fiser, Jr) of Ledbetter, and many nieces and nephews. 

Judy was a member of Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a graduate of Reidland High School and Paducah Junior College.  After college, she worked in the office at Tick Brothers Lumber Yard where she met Don, who was a truck driver there.  Judy and Don were married in Paducah, KY, on December 23, 1962, in a double wedding ceremony with Judy’s sister Janet and spouse Woody. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 8 at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home, 2410 Jackson Street, Paducah, KY.

A graveside service will also be held at Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis, KY, at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 9 with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating.
