Joyce Jeanette Kitchen

Joyce Jeanette McClure Kitchen, 91, of Pilot Oak, KY died Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Joyce Jeanette was born Nov. 5, 1931 in Pilot Oak, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ila Goebel and Lottie Iva Berryman McClure. She has resided in Pilot Oak since 1974. Joyce Jeanette's education began at Pilot Oak High School, followed by graduation in 1949 from Cuba High School. She then went on to attend Draughon's Business College of Paducah, KY. Her full-time employment started at Henry I Siegal in Fulton, KY. She then moved to California where she was employed by French American Bakery as a bookkeeper. While she was in California, she met her late husband, George, and they married in 1963. She gave birth to their daughter, Ila, in 1965. In 1974, she returned to Pilot Oak, KY, where she was employed by Henry I Siegal and Mayfield Sweet Feed Mill.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Ila Watkins of Pilot Oak, KY; one granddaughter, Serena (Brian) Anderson of Ellington, MO; one grandson, Derek Watkins of Pilot Oak, KY; and six great-grandchildren, Xavier Anderson, Zion Anderson, Cypress Anderson, Miriam Anderson, Hadassah Anderson, and Josiah Anderson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Red McClure; and one sister, Ila June Bennett.

No public services will be held.
