Floyd Junior Abernathy

Floyd Abernathy, age 87 of La Center, died Monday, March 26, 2018 at Life Care Center in La Center.  He was born the son of the late Elva Abernathy and the late Alvia Pearson Abernathy.  He was retired from General Motors in St. Louis, Missouri and Fisher Price Toys of Murray, Kentucky.  His job in retirement was a school bus driver in Ballard County, Kentucky.  He was of the pentecostal faith.

No services are scheduled.  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of sixty eight years: Virginia Abernathy of La Center, Kentucky; his daughters: Pat Egner of Benton, Kentucky and Brenda Wallace of La Center, Kentucky; his brothers: Lynn Abernathy of La Center, Kentucky and Louis Abernathy of Kansas City, Kansas; his sisters: Barbara Scott of La Center, Kentucky and Rosie Turner, also of La Center, Kentucky, his three grandchildren; his nine great grandchildren, and his 6 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Rick Abernathy.
