Danny Whitaker

Danny Whitaker, 69 of Calvert City.  Passed away 12:40 a.m. Tuesday September 23, 2014  at his home. 

He was a Kentucky Colonel, Deacon of American Legion Post 6, Past Chaplin of Bridge Street Eagles, and Member of Southern Riders.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He is survived by his special family Rodger and LeAnn Morris, children Kayla, Kevin, Tucker, Zack, Tori Morris all of Calvert City, KY.   One daughter Kimberly Newsam of Earlington, KY. Two brothers Allan Whitaker of Hopkinsville, KY. and David Whitaker of Madisonville, KY.  Two sisters Freda  Sallee of Evansville, IN. Laura Shelton of Dallas, TX.  Two grandchildren.  And several nieces and nephews.   He was proceeded in death by his parents Hugh and Ethel Whitaker, and one daughter Shantel Rich. 

Funeral services will be Thursday 11 a.m. at Keeling Family Funeral Home. With Rodger Morris officiating.  Burial with military rights to follow at the Leeper Cemetery in Livingston county.  Friends may call from 5 to 8 Wednesday at the Keeling Family Funeral Home.
