Charles Edward Thompson Jr

Charles Edward Thompson Jr. age 59 of Paducah passed away February 11, 2016 at the Lourdes Hospital.

Mr. Thompson was of the Catholic Faith, and was the local founder of the non-profit, " Heart USA". This program helped assist people in need to receive low cost or free medications. For his humanitarian efforts, he was awarded the Duke of Paducah, followed by becoming a Kentucky Colonel.. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, coin collecting, photography, writing poetry, playing the guitar and above all helping others.  He is survived by his daughter, Erikka Colclazier of Tiffin, OH., one son, Charles Edward Thompson of Tiffin OH. One brother, Scott Thompson of Matthews, MO. Two sisters, Karen Davenport of Bardwell, KY and Lori Collins of Florida. Two grandchildren, Marina Pennycuff, and Cyan Thompson. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Thompson Sr. and Patricia Dushane Thompson, one brother, and two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday February 19, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Father Michael Charles officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 5-7 at the funeral home.
