Buford Lee Coursey, 88, of Paducah, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab. Buford was born on November 27, 1935, in Symsonia, Kentucky, to the late Rollie and Lyda Coursey.
Buford is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Coursey, of Paducah; his grandson, Josh Barkley (Kinsey); and a great-grandchild, Bodhi Barkley. His deep affection for his grandson and great-grandson was evident to all who knew him, as he enjoyed every moment spent with them.
A member of Southland Baptist Temple, Buford was known not only for his strong faith but also for his great sense of humor that endeared him to many. He had a passion for old cars and trucks, finding joy in both their beauty and craftsmanship. He was an avid UK Basketball fan, always keeping up with the games and sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family.
Though he leaves behind a beautiful legacy, Buford is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Tina Barkley; his brother, Fulton Coursey; his sister, Elizabeth Rohrer; and his cherished parents, Rollie and Lydia Coursey. Their memories and love will forever remain a part of Buford's story, as he now joins their ranks in eternal rest.
