Well done thou good and faithful servant, were the words that Billy J Bishop heard as he entered his heavenly home on January 12, 2017 at 12:45 P.M. from his residence.
Mr. Bishop was a native of Karnack, IL. He served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of the Southland Baptist Temple, where he served in the Nursing Home Ministry of the church. Bill was retired from Electric Energy and also operated and ran his own Dry Cleaners. He was a member of the Gideons International Paducah South Camp. Bill is survived by his children, His daughter, Reta Houser of Paducah and three sons, Wayne Wadley of FL., Gary Wadley of Australia, and Tommy Wadley of Paducah. Two nephews, Jack Bishop and Dan Bishop both of IL. One brother, Bruce Bishop of Karnack, IL.and one sister, Louise Eastwood of Karnack, IL.. Five nieces, Donna Lippert and Heather Heisner both of IL. Heidi Farmer of MO., Beth Jane Chapman of IL. Sandra Sue Schlueter of IL.Fourteen grandchildren, Denise Smith, Wayne Wadley, Shane Wadley, Lee Wadley, Ashlee Houser, TJ Wadley, Jenny Violet Billy Wadley, Dalton Wadley Wes Houser, Kayla Mason all of Paducah, Brandon Houser of Louisville, KY. and Brittney Miller and Buddy Fiegel both of FL. Thirteen great grandchildren, Jerrica Williams, Nicole Wadley, Taylor Griffin, Kaley Jones, Erin Wadley, JT Wadley, Peyton Wadley, Tommy Wadley Carrie Houser, Landon Clymer, Logan Violet, Layla Violet, and Lilly Wadley. Five great great grandchildren, Beau Bradley, Keegan Woolverton, Kyleigh Woolverton, Kaylyn Woolverton, Nova Nance,. He was preceded in death by his first wife Eulene Carter Bishop and his second wife Mildred (Millie) Irene Wadley Smith Bishop. his parents, Luther Bishop and Minnie Helmig Bishop. One brother, Hearl ( Buddy ) Bishop and a sister, Margree Hunter, two great grandsons, Joey Williams and Kaegan Mason.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday January 16, 2017 at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Franks, Rev. Topper Council, and Rev. Steve Heisner officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Cypress, Il. Friends may visit with the family Monday from 11:00 A.M. till funeral hour at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be given to Lourdes Hospice 2855 Jackson Street Paducah, KY 42003.
