Barbara Thompson

Barbara Jean Thompson, age 65 of Paducah died Tuesday, September 5, 2017.  She was born the daughter of the late Henry Paul Thompson and the late Fay Beckman Thompson.  She graduated from Lone Oak High School in 1969 and attended Paducah Community College.  She was employed by Lourdes Hospital for over 20 years and retired from Dr. Tolar OBGYN office in December of 2014.  She was living in St. Louis with Dan Gatson.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Gearhart officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvert City Cemetery in Calvert City, KY.  Visitation will be Friday, September 8, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday,  September 9, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. 

She is survived by her sons: Mark Lippke (Tanya) of Lewiston, ME, and Josh McKendree (Allison) of Paducah; daughter: Kristi McKendree of Paducah; brother: Paul Thompson (Velma) of Paducah; and grandchildren: Kenzie, Konner, Timothy, Ethan, Isaac, Alexa, and Madox.  She is also survived by some close family friends: Aimee Thompson, Kisten Thompson, Katelin and Daniel Edwards, and was Nana Barb to Jack, Bella and Elsa Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her brother: Dale Thompson.
