Alice Mae Oliver Meyer

Alice Mae Oliver Meyer age 84 of Metropolis, IL. passed away Tuesday December 6, 2016 at 11:47 P.M. at the Baptist Health of Paducah, Ky.

Mrs. Meyer was a native of Massac County, Il. and was a member of the Metropolis Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Karnak High School in Karnak, IL. Surviving is her daughter, Dorothy Leann Holt ( Jim) of Metropolis, IL. Four sons, William ( Billy) Meyer II, Charles ( Tim) Meyer (Tammy), John Meyer ( Partner Mary Ballard ), and Jim Meyer ( Karen) all of Metropolis, IL. Two brothers, Charles R. Oliver ( Jerri) of FL., and Don Oliver of Metropolis, IL. One sister, Ruth Ann Hunt of Metropolis, IL. Thirteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William ( Bill) Howard Meyer, three brothers and one sister, and her parents, Henry Oliver and Geraldine Harris Oliver.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday December 10, 2016 at the Metropolis Baptist Church in Metropolis ,IL. with the Rev. Joe Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at the Massac Memorial Gardens in Metropolis. Visitation will be held at the church Friday December 9, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. till funeral hour.
