Alfred "Red" Phillips, age 91 of Ledbetter died Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City. He was born the son of the late Roy A. Phillips, Sr. and the late Oma Hester Phillips. He was a lifetime member of Local 181 Operating Engineers. He enjoyed taking walks and gardening. He was a member of Southland Baptist Temple.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter. Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife: Marie Phillips of Ledbetter; his daughters: Wanda Paris (Jr.) of Smithland, Sheila Goodaker (Darryl) of Smithland, Connie Monroe (Jimmy) of Smithland, and Cindy Hodge of Ledbetter; his sister: Ann Pentecost of Springfield, Tennessee; his seven grandchildren; his sixteen great grandchildren; and his three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: James Phillips, Henry Phillips, and Roy Phillips; and his sisters: Alice Greenwell, Jenny Nelson, and Hazel Osbourne.
